HEAt exposuRe impacts on maTernal and Neonatal Health (HEARTH) Kenya Project is a collaboration between AIU and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), funded by Medical Research Fund (MRF) under the Climate Impacts Call (https://www.medicalresearchfoundation.org.uk/projects/impacts–of–indoor–andoutdoor–heat–exposure–on–maternal–and–neonatal–health–in–rural–kenya).

The Project domiciled in the Environmental Health And Governance Centre (EHAG), at the school of business is a 3-year project in Kilifi, Kenya. We invite qualified candidates who are driven by research excellence in climate and health to apply for the following positions:

The research officer will be employed full-time to help install data loggers, calibrate and download data weekly from houses and hospitals, and help the Project Manager to collect routine health data from the hospitals. The following will be their roles:

Download indoor/personal temperature data weekly.

Update local MET data quarterly.

Contribute to the drafting of manuscripts.

Attend all scheduled meetings without fail.

Requirement for Appointment:

First degree in health or related area.

Experience as a research assistant and with data collector.

Experience working in a hospital setting.

Must show interest in climate change.

Must be living in the area.
