Job Summary
As an Area Sales Manager, your main goals will be to grow sales volumes and revenue within your allocated region by developing and executing strategies to achieve set targets.
Lead and manage a team of Field Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to ensure delivery of regional and overall targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets within the assigned area.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand market trends.
Train and supervise sales representatives and other sales staff within the area.
Set performance goals and monitor the performance of the sales team.
Provide coaching, support, and motivation to the team to enhance productivity and sales skills.
Address client concerns and complaints promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure favourable terms.
Track sales performance metrics and analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges for senior management.
Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead in the market.
Candidate Profile:
Degree/Diploma in Sales Marketing, Business Management or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the FMCG field.
Self-motivated and proven performer with a track record of consistently meeting targets and deadlines.
In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, market dynamics, and industry trends.
Effective management, leadership and organisation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
