Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the team including facility and program staff.
Ensure adequate staffing levels and promote a positive work environment.
Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
Lead the procurement process, ensure proper recording of all stocks and adequate stock levels at all times.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with established accounting principles and guidelines.
Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis to support budget development and monitoring.
Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and minimize financial risks.
Maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
Coordinate facility-related services, including housekeeping, laundry, and waste management.
Manage the hospital’s security operations to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
Collaborate with department leads to support their operational needs.
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
Implement and monitor safety programs and emergency preparedness plans.
Foster relationships and partnerships with other healthcare providers, community organizations, community leaders and stakeholders.
Implement continuous quality improvement programs.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and outcomes.
Any other duties as maybe assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
At least 3 years of proven leadership and management experience.
Project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to work.
High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and experience in the NHIF systems will be an added advantage.
Willingness to work full-time in an extremely rural setting.
