Public Service Commission Medical Officer Jobs in Kenya
For Appointment to This Grade, a Candidate Must Have:-
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) Degree from a university
recognized in Kenya;
A Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; and
A valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under
the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
Undertaking “First-On-Call” duties including clerking, investigating, and managing patients;
Conducting weekly clinic and theatre days;
Working with medical specialists in attending to patients in clinics;
Undertaking medio-legal duties including filling p.3 forms;
Undertaking medical examinations;
Responding to intern calls;
Carrying out outreach services;
Ensuring data and information is collected, transmitted and utilized to benefit the customer and service providers; and
Preparing medical reports.
