For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Human Resource Planning, Business Administration, Education, Sociology, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Economics, Labour Relations or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;

Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under

the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

Verifying information relating to recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers and human resource management information systems;

Implementing human resource management decisions within existing rules, regulations and procedures;

Collecting and collating data for assessing training needs;

Preparing training projections; and

Preparing agenda and minutes for the Ministerial Human Resource Management Advisory Committee the Human Resource Development Committee.
