Kenya School of Law Plumber Jobs
Overall purpose of the job
Reporting to the Senior Officer, Estate and Administration, the incumbent will carry out plumbing works in the School to ensure that the day to day operations are smoothly.
Job specifications (duties)
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: –
Reporting and replace plumbing parts that are worn out or spoilt;
Repairing all water leakages to eliminate wastage through repair of faulty pipe connections in the institution;
Notifying supervisors on any material that needs replacement or maintenance to ensure constant flow of water within the institution;
Visually inspecting equipment and operate test equipment such as pressure gauges to determine the cause and location of problem;
Maintaining plumbing tools and equipment and ensuring they are in safe operating condition;
Repairing and assess all plumbing works in vacated houses immediately a tenant vacates;
Clearing obstructions/ blockages from sinks, drains and toilets;
Interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials; and
Maintaining of solar water heating system in strategic high energy usage areas.
Persons’ specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
Minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ or its equivalent; and
Craft Certificate in Plumbing.
