Introduction
Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC) is a not-for-profit regional Technical Assistance (TA) and Learning partner organisation that works with development agencies in the public and private sectors to promote impactful and innovative programming. IIDC builds capacities and facilitate learnings to enhance the efficacy of development programming in Africa to achieve sustainable and equitable development outcomes for all.
In executing its mandate, IIDC engages in organising and facilitating stakeholder meetings of different types and at different levels. During these meetings, one of the key functions for the success of the events is Rapporteuring. IIDC therefore, seeks for applications and submission of CVs from potential experienced individuals to join our team of rapporteurs on an oncall/part time basis.
Terms of Reference (ToR) for on-call/.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the rapporteur is to professionally document the proceedings of meetings and events and produce a communicative high-quality report in a timely manner. Specific roles include:
• Internalizing the objectives, plan/agenda, methodology and intended outcome of the meeting, workshop or event.
• Retrieve and understand all the relevant materials and resources used and generated during the meeting including facilitator presentations, handouts, participants discussions about the different topics/agenda items etc.…
• Capture all the key points and issues discussed and arising from the meeting, workshop or event including new ideas/information shared, key questions asked and their responses, emerging issues raised and dealt with and others for future considerations and recommendations.
• Produce a well-documented and organized report of the meeting, workshop
or event in the approved format of IIDC within 1 week after the meeting, workshop or event.
• Handle any other relevant tasks related to Rapporteuring.
Qualifications
• A University degree in an any field with an orientation towards development work, research, documentation, communication
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated continuous experience in organising and documenting development programmes, activities/events and producing high quality reports.
• Strong understanding and experience in development program Monitoring, evaluation, learning.
• Experience with the programming in the Social Development sector

• Self-starter with agility and out of the box thinker
• Attention to detail
• Basic competencies in document design and layout will be a highly added advantage
• Available at short notice and on a flexible basis
