Deloitte Manager – Transfer Pricing – Tax & Legal Jobs in South Africa
Main Purpose of Job
To support the Transfer Pricing Tax Senior Team in providing professional and robust tax and legal advice on all local and international tax matters. Focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as sales and practice development. Develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service.
Specialized Technical Capabilities
Economic Analysis – Identifies and applies appropriate transfer pricing methods to price transactions
Functional & Risk Analysis – Assesses and reviews the overall functional and risk profile
Technical Knowledge of Transfer Pricing & Related Rules – Drafts recommendations based on differences between OECD and foreign transfer pricing rules with local TP rules
Advanced technical knowledge in Transfer Pricing as well as Business and Industry
Knowledge of:
Economic principles
International Tax
Proficient in excel
Willingness to assist in the training and development of junior staff.
Core Professional Technical Capabilities
Tax Laws and Rules – Understands local/country-specific tax laws and regulations to determine their implications on clients
Delivery excellence – Develops a network of internal and external contacts within the organization to facilitate sharing/retrieving of information; encourages others to make organizational knowledge more productive
Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving – Effectively organizes and presents complex issues, results, and recommendations to project team and clients
Technology Tools and Solutions – Spots emerging industry specific technology trends and recommends how clients can prepare for these changes.
Qualifications & Experience required
Bachelor degree in Law, Economics or Accounting or other relevant qualification
4-6 years’ Transfer Pricing experience
Preferred
Postgraduate qualification in Taxation (Masters in Taxation)
Professional services (Big four) Transfer Pricing consulting experience
Additional Information
Sound industry and business knowledge
Ability to manage and execute on tasks provided by the Head of the PCoE
Experienced in development and delivery of professional presentations
Good report writing skills
Fair financial knowledge
Knowledge of financial and commercial modelling would be advantageous
Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential as this position will assist in developing practical, profitable pricing strategies and models
Must have the ability to set priorities, manage a diversity of job responsibilities with effective organizational skills, and work within deadlines.
Ability to look beyond the short term and demonstrate the viability of long-term strategies
Strategic thinker with strong business analytic skills sets including a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic
Demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities
