Being advertised to. I tried watching cable TV while visiting my parents a few months back, and the sheer amount of commercials made my hair stand up. I don’t know how I just tuned that out as a kid.
Not to mention constant pop-ups, banners that slide onto fan wiki pages and other articles. It’s so ever present and I resent every commercial I see, even for things that genuinely interest me. It’s like visual force-feeding.
