The World Food Programme (WFP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Policy Officer in Khartoum, Sudan.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Logistics Associate will perform the following functions:
- Contribute to developing Supply Chain Planning (Allocation Plans, distributions plan) and processes, ensuring compliance with more comprehensive logistics policies and WFP standards.
- Support Supply Chain Planning projects or day-to-day operational activities following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Collect and analyze data through research and networking with colleagues at the Country Office (CO) and Area Office (AO) to recommend actions and workable solutions to the supervisor to improve performance and efficient allocation of resources within the Country Office operations.
- Conduct portions of resources pipeline analysis and reviews, drawing out insights and recommending actions to the supervisor to optimize the use of available resources.
- Guide support staff at CO and AO, acting as a referral point and supporting them with analysis and queries.
- Collate data and contribute to preparing accurate and timely reporting, supporting a WFP-wide view of Supply Chain Planning activities that enables informed decision-making and consistency of information presented to stakeholder
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff and partners for efficient and effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries (i.e., through contribution to the training materials).
- Identify and build productive relationships with Supply Chain stakeholders, colleagues, and staff within the area of assignment to support an integrated approach to food assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must have:
- Completion of secondary school plus a post-secondary certificate/Diploma in any other relevant functional area .
- Advanced University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, or Business Management or related fields or relevant experience of a minimum 5 year’s is desirable.
- Sound Knowledge use of Office, Excel and Data Analytics Tools.
- Highly numerate with an innate ability to analyze & interpret data quickly & recommend improvements.
- Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic, including having technical writing skills.
