LITTLE TREE HUGGERS ARE MAKING AN IMPACT ACROSS COMMUNITIES

Kids are the future of the planet and regularly demonstrate their willingness to stand up for it. We want to empower them to do just that! The next generation of environmentalists are already hard at work, making an impact in their communities.

Our Little Tree Huggers program made it possible for kids aged 5-12 years old to make an impact in their community by getting trees in the ground. Every tree planted by these little hands has helped to restore green spaces and encourage other community members to get involved.

Let’s celebrate two of these amazing young environmentalists and showcase the impact they have made!

ARIELLA

Ariella is a passionate young environmentalist who wants to make a difference in her school — which she considers to be the best school! This Little Tree Hugger, along with her parents and classmates, wanted to help beautify her school while also supporting the local flora and fauna by planting trees! Ariella also wanted to help her friends learn how to plant trees.

At her school, Ariella planted a total of six trees, including a crabapple, red maple, and river birch. During the planting, Ariella helped her friends properly plant trees, making sure they fully understood every step and how to do it. This Little Tree Hugger made a big impact!

JULIAN

Julian loves gardening. He loves getting his hands dirty and watching everything he plants grow and flourish. There was a small garden in the back of the building that Julian lived in, but he wanted to make it bigger. By making it bigger, he hopes to make a bigger impact and brighten his neighborhood, encouraging neighbors to help make an environmental impact.

Julian added more vegetables and fruits to the garden, hoping to help with food accessibility. He also added pollinator flowers to support the bee population. By planting these fruits and vegetables, Julian hopes to be able to provide some of his neighbors with fresh garden veggies.

These Little Tree Huggers have helped to make a big impact in their communities, inspiring people around the world! Let’s celebrate these amazing young eco-warriors and continue the work of making a positive environmental impact for them! These kids are the world’s next leaders, and we can’t wait to see what else they accomplish!
