Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that production is executed as per plan.

Compile and submit production reports.

Ensure compliance to quality standards.

Schedule work at the Cold Rolling Mill.

Manage shift manpower placement as per staff strength and ensure discipline of crews in the shift.

Provide technical support for daily production activities at Cold Rolling Mill.

Facilitate 6S activities and autonomous maintenance programmes.

Implement ISO 9001/14001 practiceS.

Ensure adequate production/ quality records are maintained for shift plus labelling and identification of Cold Rolled Coils.

Ensure Roll parameters and availability are adequate for continuity of shift production plan provided.

Monitor critical parameters for rolling (coolant, input & output material, rolls) and initiate correction of any abnormal deviations.

Ensure safety of persons in Cold Rolling Mill and safe operation of equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned by CRM production engineer.

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent).

SAP knowledge and computer literate

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in steel manufacturing industry.

Be a registered member of engineering professional body
