Nursery Assistant- Peponi House Kabete Kindergarten
Our lovely International Kindergarten with nursery classes is looking for an experienced and confident Early Years
Assistant to join our existing friendly, professional and hard working team to provide the highest standard of care
for children in the setting. We deliver a British Curriculum following the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We are term time only and have a part time vacancy 08.00-1.00pm Monday – Friday.
This role will include:
Generic Responsibilities
a) To work consistently to uphold the school’s mission statement
b) To follow all school policies
c) To work in a co-operative and polite manner with all stakeholders
d) To work with pupils in a courteous, positive, caring and responsible manner at all times
e) To follow the child protection procedures and ensure that, pupils’ safety and well-being is never
compromised
f) To be polite, co-operative and positive when communicating to other staff
g) To take an active and positive role in the school’s commitment to the development of staff, and their annual
review procedures
h) To work with visitors in such a way that it enhances the reputation of the school
i) To seek to improve the quality of the school’s overall service
j) To present oneself in a professional way that is consistent with the values and expectations of the school.
Specific Responsibilities
To support the day to day running of the Nursery Setting
a) To assist in providing a range of stimulating and exciting activities for the children which encourage
independence, motivation and an eagerness to learn
b) To complete developmental records for the key
children in your care and to communicate with the rest of
the Nursery Team, EYFS Coordinator and Head teacher regarding any concerns you have about the child’s
development
c) To support colleagues and work as a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all
children (aged 18 months-5 years)
d) To support with all aspects of care for our youngest children, including following and supporting sleep and
feeding routines.
e) To support with aspects of intimate care and hygiene for the key children in your care
f) To keep learning areas for all children clean and safe
