Kenya Forest Service Geo Data Base Officer Jobs in Kenya
Entry Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing or Geo-informatics, Geography and Environmental Studies, Environmental planning and Management, Natural Resource Management or any other related field from a recognized University.
Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcMap, PostGIS, QGIS, R studio to Microsoft Office, Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD), ERDAS, IDRIS
Relevant work experience of at least three (3) years
Proficiency in Computer applications
Fulfils chapter six of the constitution

An officer at this level shall report to a senior officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving, checking, processing, documenting of forestry Geo-Spatial records from public and private producers.
Development of databases
Update of forest resources tabular databases
Maintenance of non-geospatial database(s) within KFS
Produce data reports and data mining queries
Prepare forest resource datasets to support annual work plans and annual reports
Plan, design, and automate GIS database construction and quality controls.
Manage data development and access with other user departments.
Protect the safety, integrity, and privacy of data.
Web programming and web applications
Promote public values and principles
Mentoring and coaching
