National Housing Corporation Senior Architect Jobs in Kenya
Job Specification:
Duties and Responsibilities
Initiating formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of procedures and standards for undertaking architectural designs and construction work;
Providing information for feasibility study and planning for housing projects;
Preparing architectural designs, specifications and drawings;
Obtaining County and statutory approvals for architectural designs and drawings;
Reviewing tender and contract documentation for architectural and building aspects;
Participation in evaluation of contractual claims;
Participating in procurement processes for housing projects;
Undertaking monitoring and evaluation of housing projects;
Supervision of construction of housing projects to ensure quality and adherence to specifications;
Preparation of requisite documents for obtaining certificate of occupation;
Participation in research on housing and architectural designs, technology and materials;
Training of students and guiding interns attached to Architectural Department;
Person Specification:
At least four (4) years relevant work experience;
Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Graduate member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (A.A.K) or any other recognized professional body in good standing;
Registered as a Graduate Architect by the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS);
Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Fulfills the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution.
