Responsibilities:
Create and publish engaging, high-quality content that resonates with TUKO.co.ke`s target audience on social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter etc.). Ensure content is relevant and timely
Source comments from experts, entrepreneurs
Work with Tier1 content
Collaborate with the local correspondents team
Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure social media content is aligned with the overall content strategy
Work closely with Editor-in-Chief
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
Considerable experience in journalism and writing content
Knowledge of social media publishing
Copywriting skills
Ability to work with photo-editing software (Figma, Canva)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal
Ability to go the extra mile
Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
Good time management and work organisation skills
Work under minimal supervision
Ability to churn out articles in perfect English
Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
