Responsibilities
An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a dynamic leader to join AKU as the next Provost and Vice President, Academic. Reporting to the President, they are the Chief Academic Officer of the University and provide strategic leadership on academic, financial, and operational matters. Working closely with the President, Deans, and other senior leadership, the Provost and Vice President, Academic ensures operational planning is fully integrated across the university, with alignment to the university’s academic, research and strategic mission and its institutional priorities. They are responsible for providing leadership and oversight of academic affairs while supporting the efforts of Deans, faculty and staff to drive excellence across AKU to ensure the core activities of research, scholarly activity, teaching and learning are of the highest standards.

This role can be based in Nairobi, Kenya or Karachi, Pakistan.
