Othaya- Mukurwe-ini Water Services Operations and Maintenance Officer Jobs in Kenya
Overall Job Responsibility
Ensure reliable, predictable and efficient water supply in the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate operation and maintenance activities as per the service charter to ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure timely repair of leaks and bursts to reduce NRW
Undertake pipeline designs of proposed extensions and rehabilitations and recommend economical implementation of the same.
Ensure all pipeline appurtenances and water reservoirs are cleaned and maintained as per the maintenance schedule
Advise the company on the most economical repair and maintenance procedures and uptake of new technologies to ensure efficient and economical delivery of services to our consumers
Ensure customer complaints related to the section are timely and satisfactorily resolved
Maintain the section’s records for ease of retrieval and future reference
Prepare and submit reports as and when required.
Mentor, lead, appraise, coach, supervise and monitor the performance of assigned staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Water Engineering/Civil Engineering or a relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution with at least (5) years’ experience in a reputable organization, three (3) of which should be in a Supervisory position.
Experience in Engineering design
Registrable with the professional body (EBK)
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the water sector
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
Planning and organizational skills
Excellent analytical skills
Basic Computer skills
Knowledge of CAD
