Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Systems Administrator Jobs in Uganda
Job Purpose
To conduct effective operation and maintenance of Systems hardware
Key duties and responsibilities
Executes system administration duties on MIS database.
Evaluates and deploys all software and hardware upgrades to server infrastructure.
Monitors all servers, applications and services.
Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
Assists in developing and maintaining server level disaster recovery plans.
Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes.
Interfaces with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
Manages intranet & internet connectivity throughout the institute.
Maintains up to date knowledge of emerging server tools and technologies.
Backing up file systems and data.
Eligibility
An honours Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized Institute.
At least 2-years’ experience
Not above 45 years
