Requirements For appointment
Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution
Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution;
Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
Membership of a relevant professional body;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide environmental health extension services;
Mobilize, sensitize and advise communities on matters related to environmental health;
Refer health cases to relevant health facilities;
Carry out immunization; identifying environmental health issues at community level;
Organize community health days to advise communities on common public health issues;
Implement vector, vermin and rodent control measures; and implement integrated mosquito control strategies; and
Collect and maintain up to date records of services rendered; assessing health needs of the community.
