Requirement for Appointment:-
Diploma in any of the following disciplines:- Optometry, Optometry Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Shown merit as reflected in work performance and results; and
Proficiency in computer application skills.
Duties and Responsibilities: –
Implement patient treatment plan;
Assess the refractive status of the eye;
Glaze and fit spectacles;
Capture patient’s bio data;
Take history of patients;
Make general patient observations for diagnostic purposes and treatment;
Obtain patient informed consent before offering any treatment;
Follow up on patient’s treatment and progress;
Collect optometry clinical data;
Collect information on ophthalmic/optical equipment and appliances;
Take stock of inventory in the optical shop;
Prepare briefs and monthly reports.
