Job Description:
Program Implementation
Provide leadership in the implementation of Primary Health Care services in the health facilities.
Improve Maternal and Child Health indicators and EPI coverage.
In liaison with CHD conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly supervisory visits to the hospital.
Carry out additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, including administrative and planning functions.
Ensure all health facility structures are functional.
Strategic leadership and Representation
Manage proactive and responsive relationship with county authorities in close collaboration with the Project Manager and County Coordinator.
Directly oversee project implementation, ensuring that all strategic objectives are met through proper design, staffing, implementation and quality assurance at county level.
Supervise and build capacity of health workers to manage health activities.
Respond to adhoc project and donor requests.
Reporting
Write weekly reports every Friday by 4pm
Report all incidences affecting HPF3 service delivery within 24hours
Provide monthly narrative, HRIS, ITT by 8th of every month.
Provide quarterly report within the first week of the next quarter.
Staff and Budget Management
Support the CHD in managing health facility staff by developing performance objectives and appraisals.
Ensure health care workers have JDs and attendance registers.
Request for advances and settle on time
Support the CHD to create staff development and leave plans
Ensure staff adhere to WV policies
Required Professional Experience
At least 5years of professional experience, out of which at least 2 years in emergency response.
Prior experience in primary health care management ,project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
Experience working in difficult environment contexts within South Sudan.
Prior working experience in managing health projects implemented through government health care system and preferably HPF.
Experience supervising and mentoring health workers and volunteers.
Basic experience in procurement and supply, and management of pharmaceuticals
Flexibility, ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well and meet deadlines, ability to improvise.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing/Midwifery or paramedic field is required.
Bachelor of Medicine, Nursing/Midwifery, public health or related field is an asset
Experience in Primary Health Care Management is required.
Experience and knowledge in managing maternal and child health program.
Experience in emergency preparedness and response preferably in communicable disease such as Measles, Ebola, Cholera, and Hep E etc.
Professional experience in training and on-job coaching.
Knowledge of Arabic and Balanda language is an added advantage.
