English does have real profanity (as in words that trigger taboo and ostracizing) and new ones are getting added. It’s just that “shit” and “hell” are not on that list anymore, and for the most part even “fuck” is perfectly acceptable when talking to adults. So it’s not that new parents are meaner; the language and culture are just changing.
