Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Investment Specialist in India. The duration of this post is 3 years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Investment Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Portfolio Management
- Assume primary account responsibility for a number of significant individual accounts. This includes client relationships, periodic reviews and updates, reporting and ensuring compliance with terms of approvals and relationship responsibility for assigned key accounts;
- Support, reviews and/or approves covenant compliance reports, waivers and amendments, annual reviews, ratings and other documents in connection with account relationships
- Strategy and Planning
- Prepare and monitors annual portfolio management plans;
- Support and oversee the development of a sound portfolio management strategy;
- Policy and Project Evaluation
- Draft or comment on projects, policy and other papers related to private sector development and operations issues in various themes and sectors;
- Measure expected development, environmental and social safeguard outcomes in existing and proposed interventions in close liaison with the Private Sector Transaction Support team (PSTS); and
- Knowledge Sharing
- Participate in and contribute to internal and external training and conferences and other activities for advocacy, dissemination, and knowledge building and
- Maintain and share knowledge of emerging best practices in area of expertise.
- External Liaison
- Manage and facilitate active relationships with financial intermediaries in the region, institutional investors and other commercial partners;
- Develop and maintain relationships with the key market participants like business leaders, regulators, etc. in developing Asia.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in business administration, finance, or related fields; University Degree in business administration, finance, or related fields combined with at least 5 year’s specialized experience in similar organization/s, may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
- At least 8 year’s relevant professional experience in commercial financial institutions, including hands-on experience in project administration as well as experience in structuring and processing loans and/or equity investments for projects, corporates and financial institutions, analyzing credit risks, syndicating financial transactions, exit from equity investments and related banking activities.
- Experience in risk management, including rating methodologies, risk categories (market risk, credit risk, operational risk), etc.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, investment and credit products, including underwriting, pricing, servicing, accounting, exiting, etc. and with particular experience in developing markets.
- Ability to lead negotiations with borrowers, existing and prospective shareholders, sponsors and co-lenders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, in particular strong ability in business writing.
