If you could learn a language which one would you choose and why?

I’m trying really hard to learn Spanish. I’m not good at learning to speak languages. I can understand better than I can speak. Two of my best friends just had a baby, and they’re raising them in a bilingual environment. I’ll likely be close to this kid and watch them a lot, so I want to be able to understand anything they ask me for. Nothing worse than a hungry two year old that can’t properly explain what’s wrong.
