If you could become a main character in any book, what would it be and why?

If it was a fictional book the setting would be some weird delusional underground world where everybody is a smuggler and trade just the most untradeable (?) things you can imagine. And the community has its own hierarchy in which my character would play some major role initially. And things go with the flow from then on..

If it was a real one, maybe I’d choose Derry / Castle Rock or whatever King ‘s got prepared.
