How do men’s clothes so often have excess of XL’s+ and Smalls, but are consistently out of Mediums and Larges?

More demand for those sizes?

Although personally looking for XL I always find L so maybe it’s just bias to both our positions due to what we are particularly looking for making that size being available/unavailable more apparent to us
