Keep in mind that sociopaths aren’t really a thing psychologically speaking, and most people’s conception of what they are supposed to be comes more from Hollywood than science. Psychopathy is also commonly confused/conflated with various anti-social behaviors as a result of TVs/movies/various pop psych books of dubious quality. The terms have kind of become a vernacular stand-in for calling someone “evil” without the religious/supernatural connotations that come with that word. I’d caution against listening to anyone talking about a “psychopath” that isn’t qualified or trained on the subject. They are probably just telling you about someone they didn’t like or that creeper them out (which could have involved a huge variety of factors well beyond genuine psychopathy).
