After years and tons of medical examinations doctors told me and my husband we would be unable to have children on our own accord, and that it would have to be through IVF. Got our first son through IVF and were amazingly happy. We wanted more kids but wanted to wait a couple of years and then go back to the medical team and have them help us with IVF.
… and then I got pregnant all of a sudden, unplanned and through no medical help. Our baby daughter was born the next year. My doctor called her a “gift from above”.
Me and my husband are not religious. You might say the medical profession just made a mistake in diagnosing us infertile. But to us it felt like a miracle.
