The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Grant Management Analyst in Geneva, Switzerland.

UNOPS mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure, and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.

Key Job Responsibilities

The Grant Management Analyst will the following functions:

  • Programme Planning and Development
    • Review grant awards requests, draft grant agreements and subsequent amendments, using the approved templates ensuring that all agreements and amendments are constructed and issued in line with UNOPS legal and financial rules and regulations.
    • Track and ensure proper development, implementation and, as and when appropriate, amendments, of project budgets and staffing resources, ensuring synergies across the CCS4i team.
    • Develop and establish resource tracking systems for use within the CCS4i grant programs, complementary to UNOPS’ online tools, to ensure effective planning, forecasting, and tracking of delivery.
    • Identify, and – if possible – anticipate, potential implementation risks and issues, and suggest to the team lead possible mitigating measures.
  • Grant Setup and Implementation Analysis
    • Provide analytical support to CCS4i grant making and support the development of high-level project plans.
    • Review grant budgets, and financial reports against approved budgets, and provide critical feedback to implementing partners, programme & operations team, as relevant.
    • Develop, track, and maintain dependencies and systems, controlling budget line expenditures and encumbrances, including record keeping reflecting all transactions related to the CCS4i team activities in proper categories in accordance with the STP finance SOPs and the UNOPS financial rules and regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Advanced university degree (master or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management or other relevant discipline is required
  • University degree (bachelor or equivalent) in any of the above disciplines with two (2) additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in programme management, and/or planning, and/or budgeting and/or operations or related areas at either public sector organizations and/or private sector companies is required
  • Experience with Grant management and Public Procurement would be considered a strong asset, especially within the context of the UN.
  • Prior professional experience in TB or global health and/or working in low- and middle-income countries and emerging markets, including TB affected countries, would be desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Fluency of another UN official language, particularly French, would be desirable.
