Job Purpose:

Coordination, Monitoring and reporting on the Art For Education programme activities to achieve envisioned objectives and goals in 2 dioceses respectively.

Duties and Responsibilities/ Job Description

  • Develop Annual Work/Activity Plans and Log frames for the assigned programme / project
  • Coordinates project activities related and prepares related documents / reports (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports).
  • Ensure proper utilization of project and organizational funds as per the programme budget.
  • Designs data collection tools: reviews, analyzes and interprets responses, identify problems/issues and prepares reports.
  • Collects and analyzes data to provide insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting.
  • Analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse program related sources and identifies problems and issues to be addressed and initiates corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties and ensures follow-up actions.
  • Initiates and coordinates outreach activities such as training workshops, seminars and makes presentations on assigned topics/activities
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with National and County relevant GOK departments, Dioceses and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in organizing of National, Arch/Diocesan Education related meetings.

    Requirements/Qualifications/Person Specifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Education or a relevant course from a reputable University.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in implementing donor funded projects.
  • Diploma in Community Development
  • Experience in Education related projects
  • Deep knowledge of Social Emotional Learning competencies, strategies and learning instruction frameworks
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Good training and facilitation skills
  • Innovative and self-driven.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‐paced environment, set priorities, work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexible, professional with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with demanding deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and the Internet.
  • Team player with ability to work effectively with diverse and multicultural personnel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain close relationships with various stakeholders.

    Key Performance Areas

  • Coordinating the Art for Education project activities at the National, Arch/dioceses level.
  • Project activities and training workshop planning and timely implementation as per workplan, budget preparations and utilization, programmatic monitoring and evaluation site visits and reports.
  • Writing and submission of timely donor reports for the Art for Education project
