Q-Sourcing Warehouse/ Inventory Supervisor Jobs in Uganda
Job Purpose:
This role holder will be required to be in charge of inventory in the assigned region. They will ensure proper accounting of inventory both in the system and in stock, ensure accurate inventory transfers within the assigned region, plan and conduct regular stock takes, conduct stock variance investigations and prepare inventory reports for management reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational
Maintain inventory storage areas by organizing floor space, implementing prescribed storage principles, and recommending improvements where necessary.
Conduct Pre/post analysis of inventory leading to shrinkage/low inventory days.
Ensuring compliance to SOP for all activities undertaken during execution of stock take at all levels, pre-stock take, during stock take and post stock take.
Streamline the physical inventory monitoring process at off-site locations.
Manage cycle count and physical inventory count.
Track inventory and operations Key Performance Indicators, evaluating effectiveness of procedures and instituting continuous improvement in areas with operational lapses.
Implement and Maintain 6S/6K, housekeeping at the warehouses.
Prepare monthly and ad hoc inventory analysis and reports.
Analyze stock movement reports and variances, investigate discrepancies in stocks, initiate root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Identify gaps, irregularities, concerns in the warehouse operational procedures, ensure follow up and closure on the same.
Monitor stock levels at all locations, trends, consumption/production forecast, reporting on the same and ensuring on time dispatches of material to the factory.
Find ways to reduce costs and optimize control procedures.
Evaluate and open up warehousing locations within the assigned region, including trading points and yards.
People Management:
Ensure that all personnel at the warehouse adhere to MGA policies and principles.
Providing regular training on the use of management tools, stock cards, tally sheets.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance for the business operations at the warehouse such as licenses and inspections in liaison with the QHSE department.
Ensure training of personnel at the warehouse on MGA health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that all QHSE regulations are complied with, to ensure safe working conditions.
Ensure efficient and timely housekeeping routines
Mandatory Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Business administration, Procurement / Supply chain will be preferred.
3 years relevant experience in Warehouse Operations.
Target & Results driven individual with the ability to lead, motivate and build team capacity to meet individual and collective goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution skills.
Ability to work in a diverse cultural workforce cutting across different social classes.
