Requirements for appointment
Served in the grade of Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer or in a comparable position for a minimum period of (3) years;
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following Social Sciences: Government, Anthropology, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Economics, Law or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
Demonstrated outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in the management of health services in a large health institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
A Senior Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer will deputize the Chief Health Administrative Officer and will be deployed at the County Headquarters. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
Formulation, implementation, Coordination and evaluation of health administrative policies, services and programmes:
Co-ordinating major health administration functions and ensuring timely completion of tasks
Supervision, deployment, training and development of Health Administrative Staff.
