For Appointment to This Position a Candidate Must Have
Bachelors’ degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Digital Cartography, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Natural Science, Natural Resource Management, Geography or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
This will be the entry and training grade for Geo-information Officers. Duties and responsibilities will include:
Developing animal, land use and land cover geo-databases;
Undertaking data verification and quality control based on defined procedures;
Carrying out data analysis;
Undertaking statistical analysis;
Producing density distribution maps; and
Maintaining in-house GIS application programs.
