Our client, a prominent fish platform in East Africa with operations situated on the Kenyan side of Lake Victoria and extending into Lake Kivu Rwanda, is seeking to hire a Systems Analyst located mainly in Nairobi with up to 25% travel across Kisumu, Homabay and others as they grow.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements Analysis:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for the ERP system.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design documentation.
Identify risks, issues, and potential impacts on business operations.
Workflow Design and Documentation.
Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
Design new workflows that align with the capabilities of the ERP system.
Document workflows, process diagrams, and user stories to effectively communicate system requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and obtain necessary approvals.
Technical Builds, Configuration, and Support.
Coordinate with technical teams to manage system builds and configurations.
Oversee the implementation and customization of the ERP system to meet business requirements.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the implementation phase.
Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements to the ERP system post-implementation.
Collaborate with end-users and IT support to address user inquiries, system issues, and change requests
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Proficiency in system analysis tools, such as data flow diagrams, process models, and requirement gathering techniques.
Experience in performing system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and SQL a plus.
Knowledge of computer systems and programming languages a plus.
