Canaan Developers Safety Officer Jobs in Kenya
Role:
To develop, monitor and implement the site’s health and safety policy; to ensure the organization is complaint with health &safety legislation; and to reduce or prevent hazards, dangers of the workers but also of the workplace, environment & general public.
Duties but not limited to the following:
Advice and instruct on various safety related topics
Conduct risk assessment & enforce preventative measures
Review existing policies & measures & update according to legislation
Initiate & organise OHS training of employees & executives
Inspect premises & the work of personnel to identify issues or non- conformity (e.g., Not using personnel equipment)
Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
Records & investigate incidents to determine cause & handle worker`s compensation claims.
Prepare reports on occurrences & provide statistical information to the management.
Experience and Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational, Health and Safety
Certification in Occupational health & safety
Minimum of 2 years working in a construction industry in safety role
Familiarity with conducting data analysis & reporting statistics4
Proficient in MS Office
