Nairobi City County Assembly Records Management Officer I Jobs in Kenya
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret andimplement record management policies;
Develop records management systems;
Ensure thatfile movement records are updated and maintained;
Ensure safe custody of files and documents;
Ensure receipt and proper dispatch of mails;
Determine and prepare disposal schedule of records and documents in liaison with relevant government agencies;
Initiating procurement process as per the approved procurement plan;
Identifyingunit’s training needs based on performance appraisal reports; and
Mentoring and coaching staff in Records Management Unit.
Requirements for Appointment
Served in the grade of Records Management Officer II for a minimum period of three (3) years;
Bachelor’s Degree in Records Management, Information Science or any other equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
Certificate in Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than four (4) weeks froma
recognized institution;
Registration with relevant professional body;
Proficiency in computer application skills; and
Certificate of good conduct.
