Position Objective:

Ensure and supervise during the management and monitoring phases the needs that arise in relation to the projects developed by the Organization in Ethiopia. As well as support in formulations from a technical and budgetary point of view. Strengthen the team on the basis of program monitoring and management. This person will work in coordination with both the team in the national office and Headquarters.

Main responsibilities:

Management and monitoring of projects with external and internal financing, with field visits and helping to establish reorientation strategies if necessary.

Support in the project design/formulation process including the technical proposal and budget preparation to ensure compliance with regulations and financial viability of the project.

Ensure, supervise and/or review the completion of narrative and financial reports for internal monitoring, in addition to supporting reports (monitoring and final) for external entities.

Collaborate with the Financial Controller, the Regional and Country Management in the Preparation of the country’s annual Budget and in its Monitoring.

Accompany the processes of audits and/or external evaluations of projects.

Accompany the monitoring processes in Ethiopia.

Administrative tasks to ensure the justification of projects at a technical and financial level.

Ensure compliance with the regulations of the financiers and the internal regulations of Ayuda en Acción for the projects.

Strengthening the team in terms of economic management and technical monitoring of projects.

Knowledge and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or Business Administration and Management, Political Science, Sociology or similar.

Experience of at least 3 years in management of development cooperation and international humanitarian aid projects.

Experience of at least 3 years in economic monitoring, administration and evaluation of development and humanitarian aid projects

Experience with the main financing entities of the Organization: AECID, EU, UN, etc.

Experience and knowledge of the NGDO sector in Spain and/or abroad,

Experience in training local teams.

High knowledge of Word and Excel is essential.

High level of English essential. / Spanish if it is not a native language
