Requirements:
At least 3 years relevant John Deere experience with 1 year management experience
National Senior Certificate
Qualified tractor technician
In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in equipment and machinery.
Skills/Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong communication and leadership skills to interact with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Problem solving
Responsibilities:
Oversee workshop activities
Management of escalated complaints and orders
Provide on-the-job training
Render technical support/assistance
Keep informed about technical developments and inform workshops (procedures and problem solving)
Effective liaison with clients
Ensure effective technical support, promote customer service and ensure profitability of workshops in the area of responsibility.
Develop and manage a marketing plan for client clinics, farmer association meetings, Study group
meetings and promotions
Professional, continuous and effective liaison with clients
Attend and resolve escalated client queries and complaints
Advise and inform clients on product ranges and offers
Auditing of administration in workshops
Auditing of job cards
Draw and check reports (completed and outstanding work, PIP list, DTAC etc.)
Check financial statements against targets for workshops
Inspection of specialized equipment
Compile reports (Technical reports, Weekly/Monthly reports and evaluation reports
Overseeing of workshop managers
Oversee workshop managers according to applicable legislation
Inform workshop managers about desired outcomes in terms of goals and objectives
Observe performance and provide constructive feedback regularly
Identify potential for accelerated development
