Requirements
At least 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter
National Senior Certificate, N3 in Engineering studies and a Trade Certificate in Maintenance Fitting
What you’ll be doing:
Perform planned and reactive and scheduled maintenance duties on all silo plant machinery, equipment and components, excluding engine driven machinery i.e tractors
Make use of specialised rigging equipment for safe maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment
Complete work orders and ensure timely sign off / close off for completed work along with relevant feedback information and other reports as required
Complete tasks assigned on the basis of priority
Conduct mechanical inspections on plant machinery equipment and components to
ensure maximum operational efficiency and availability
Construct components from raw materials
Installation of new or reconditioned plant machinery, equipment and components
Make use of general and specialized tools and equipment to perform maintenance
Report and liaise with area foreman
Plan, schedule and organise own work within the requirements of the work plan, and
coordinate with other parties as required
Ensure assigned trades work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements
Provide feedback and reports to Supervisor on progress and work completed against schedule and reasons for variance, recording delays and recommending action to eliminate future delays
