What you’ll need:
3 to 5 years experience in financial & managerial accounting as well as data and office administration.
Exposure to agricultural business environment as well the field of agricultural-economics is recommended.
Bachelors degree in Agricultural Business, Accounting, or Finance.
Advanced Excel and Access.
Managerial and Financial Accounting principles and systems.
What you’ll be doing:
Render farm business accounting support in order to ensure effective and comprehensive e-bureau clientele management
Provide accounting support to participants and their service providers regarding processing of information on financial software.
Review and approve data inputs where participants process their own data.
Implementation of financial management system at participant
Standardize new entrants’ data in accordance with the farm management analysis requirements
Fulfil a spectrum of E-Bureau accounting and reporting related functions:
Liaise with client and or his accountant and provide guidelines for submitting of financial data in correct format necessary for compiling of E-Bureau Report
Verify and prepare data originated from various financial management programs for accuracy & completeness.
Reconcile financial data already captured on system with financial statements and make necessary adjustment on E-Bureau platform, where applicable.
Compile management accounts necessary to compile various agricultural – economic statements to be used by economist for comprehensive farm financial performance analyses:
Compile pro-forma balance sheet, income – and enterprise statements – scenario planning and quarterly monitoring support function.
Present relevant financial information to farmer in the form of system generated reports, income statements, balance sheets and various other relevant reports.
Liaison function between participants, their service providers and agri economists
Compilation of a standardized code list that can be used by participant and their service providers namely accountants.
Request and ensure accuracy of data for production finalisation.
Liase with participants service providers in terms of the future data requirements.
Agri Economist Support and Financial Function
Prepare balance sheet and income statement data for production finalisation.
Input of data on Senwes programs (Pastel / Simfini / WinFin).
Verification of balance sheet versus control sheets.
Program maintenance and Development
Maintenance of data entry templates.
Maintenance of work procedure and Farm Management Analyses model.
