Qualifications and Requirements
Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with a current Practicing Certificate. Advocates with 2+ years post admission experience will have an added advantage.
Be computer literate.
Excellent communication. Kindly include a writing sample (e.g. dissertation excerpt or written submissions)
Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
Be proactive, self-motivated and aggressive.
Some of the key Responsibilities for this position include:
Drafting complex pleadings, legal opinions, case briefs, and other litigation documents
Prepare and file legal documents at court registries.
Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court and judicial proceedings.
Providing legal advice to clients from time to time
Working on all aspects of litigation from inception to logical conclusion
Conducting preliminary case evaluation and formulating legal opinions
Conducting legal research and analysis
Collaborating with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel
