Earth Journalism Network’s Media Workshop on Biodiversity in Zambia

The Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites journalists from all over Zambia, to join a media workshop on Biodiversity.

EJN will facilitate communication between journalists, subject experts, and communities affected by biodiversity, providing an opportunity to better understand the real-life challenges faced by these communities.

Benefits

  • The three-day workshop will strengthen the capacity of local journalists to report on threats to biodiversity and on conservation-based solutions, by building their skills, knowledge, network building, and content production around these issues.
  • EJN will bear the costs of meals and reimburse costs for local travel expenses.

    Location

    The workshop will be held Lusaka Zambia in January 2024.

    Eligibility Criteria

  • Applications are open to journalists from print, online, radio and television outlets.
  • Applicants must commit to attend all days of the workshop.
  • Have experience reporting on scientific and/or environmental topics.
  • Understand and be able to communicate in English.
  • Permit republication of any stories produced for their home media outlets as a result of participating in the workshop on the EJN website.
