Earth Journalism Network’s Media Workshop on Biodiversity in Zambia
The Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites journalists from all over Zambia, to join a media workshop on Biodiversity.
EJN will facilitate communication between journalists, subject experts, and communities affected by biodiversity, providing an opportunity to better understand the real-life challenges faced by these communities.
Benefits
The three-day workshop will strengthen the capacity of local journalists to report on threats to biodiversity and on conservation-based solutions, by building their skills, knowledge, network building, and content production around these issues.
EJN will bear the costs of meals and reimburse costs for local travel expenses.
Location
The workshop will be held Lusaka Zambia in January 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to journalists from print, online, radio and television outlets.
Applicants must commit to attend all days of the workshop.
Have experience reporting on scientific and/or environmental topics.
Understand and be able to communicate in English.
Permit republication of any stories produced for their home media outlets as a result of participating in the workshop on the EJN website.
