Burn Software Quality Analyst Jobs in Kenya
About the Role:
BURN is looking for a Software Quality Analyst, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective quality assurance processes and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Test Planning:
Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements.
Test Case Design and Execution:
Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility.
Defect Identification and Tracking:
Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Regression Testing:
Conduct regression testing to validate that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
Automated Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and test coverage.
Performance Testing:
Perform performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements.
Quality Metrics and Reporting:
Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the QA team.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
