Academic and professional
Have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline from a university recognized in Kenya;
Masters degree in Finance/ Accounting , Business administration or its equivalent
Registered by ICPA (K)
Membership in good standing to a relevant Professional body (ies) (where applicable) will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy.
Experience and skills
9 years’ experience, 3 of which must be at the level of Senior Assistant Director Finance, or Senior Assistant Director, Internal Audit
Membership in good standing to a relevant Professional body (ies) (where applicable) will be an added advantage.
Have outstanding professional competence in financial management
Demonstrated high administrative capabilities.
Computer Literacy
Duties and responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the supervision and assignment of duties to staff of the Salary, Capital and expenditure sections
Responsible for cash flow management and cost control
Payroll processing and reconciliation
Responsible for asset management and maintenance of updated asset records
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements/obligations
Overseeing the day-to-day operations in the office of Deputy Director, Finance, Expenditure
Any other related duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time
