Multi Community Based Development Initiative Programs and Partnership Manager Jobs in Uganda
Job Purpose:
Supports the ED and senior management to define the fundraising vision and targets, he will be responsible for representing MUCOBADI to business, development partners and stakeholders’ fora, managing strategic partnerships and developing robust pipelines of prospective partners. S/he will be responsible for coordinating resource acquisition and business development efforts for organizational growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising, Liaison, Strategy and Business Development
• Support Board committees through ED in developing resource acquisition strategies in
accordance with the mission and vision of MUCOBADI.
• Provide support in researching new funding sources, preparing specific bids, proposals, concepts, pitching to potential partners as well as donor communication and relationship management.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies, fostering ongoing relationships with donors through provision of regular updates to regular, prospective funders and planning for fundraising events.
• Build and maintain effective alliances and partnership with associates, organizations, partners and agencies.
• Develop and regularly update the annual resource mobilization plans and business development strategies.
Roving Project Management Support
• Provide strategic support, monitoring and evaluation and provide programme performance
feedback to project teams.
• Facilitate cross cutting communications with the programme teams, supporting programme strategy through a support function.
• Work collaboratively with project teams and contribute to the development of cross-project
initiatives in line with project objectives and MUCOBADI’s mission.
• Provide support in the preparation and implementation of procedures, standards and guidelines for the smooth running of programmes.
• Represent MUCOBADI at relevant international, national and local meetings with government,
funding agencies, partner NGOs and providing feedback to staff, project leads and senior
management.
• Develop, lead, monitor, evaluate and report on assigned projects.
Staff performance Management:
• Support in development, supervision and ensure team performance through one to one support, mentoring and coaching.
• Identify business development skills and knowledge gaps, develop, plan and deliver appropriate business development learning opportunities to staff.
• Advise ED and HRM on needs, recruitment, appraisal, training, motivation, retention and
deployment of human resources.
Minimum Qualifications and experience:
• Master Degree in a relevant subject such as Management/Development Studies /public health or
any other relevant technical subject.
• 7 years of post-qualification management experience in a relevant profession.
• Proven understanding of and experience in fundraising and program management
• Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Dynamic and mature personality, able to oversee multiple tasks, prioritizing and delegating as
appropriate.
• Good inter-personal, flexible, communication and conflict resolution skills.
