Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Waiter/Waitress to join the restaurant. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for delivering top-notch service, impeccable attention to detail, and a deep understanding of fine dining etiquette. As a Waiter/Waitress, will play a crucial role in enhancing the guests’ dining experience by providing personalized service, taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining a warm and welcoming ambiance.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
Present menus and provide detailed explanations of menu items, highlighting specials and recommendations.
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders to guests’ tables.
Serve meals and beverages to guests, adhering to fine dining service standards and proper etiquette.
Monitor table settings and maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout the meal service.
Anticipate guests’ needs and promptly address any concerns or special requests to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Suggest wine and beverage pairings based on guests’ preferences and menu selections.
Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions.
Collaborate with other team members, including bartenders and hosts/hostesses, to provide a cohesive and exceptional guest experience.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and sourcing.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance service skills and stay updated on menu offerings.
Qualification & Experience
Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
Experience
Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or similar upscale dining environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food and beverage pairing, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Fluent proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Must be able to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong understanding of fine dining service etiquette and guest interaction.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse clientele.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, especially during peak dining hours.
