Job Summary:
We are seeking an imaginative and skilled Mixologist to curate an extraordinary beverage experience for guests at the restaurant. The Mixologist will be responsible for crafting innovative cocktails, concoctions, and beverage pairings that enhance the dining experience.
Responsibilities
Cocktail Innovation: Develop a unique and diverse cocktail menu that aligns with the restaurant’s culinary concept and enhances the dining experience.
Beverage Pairing: Collaborate closely with the culinary team to create inspired beverage pairings that complement the flavors and textures of the dishes.
Artful Presentation: Craft visually stunning and creative cocktails that captivate the senses and reflect the restaurant’s elegance and sophistication.
Ingredient Selection: Source and select premium and locally-sourced ingredients, spirits, and garnishes to create exceptional cocktails.
Mixology Techniques: Demonstrate mastery of mixology techniques, from muddling and shaking to layering and infusing, to create perfectly balanced drinks.
Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to understand their preferences, offering personalized cocktail recommendations and insights.
Training and Education: Train and educate the bar staff on mixology techniques, presentation, and the art of creating unique cocktails.
Beverage Inventory: Manage beverage inventory, track usage, and ensure timely restocking of supplies to maintain uninterrupted service.
Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency in cocktail preparation, taste, and presentation across various shifts.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, sanitation standards, and health and safety regulations.
Qualification & Experience
Education
Formal mixology training and certification is a plus.
Experience
Proven experience as a Mixologist in upscale bars, luxury hotels, or fine dining restaurants.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Extensive knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, and mixology techniques.
A flair for creativity and innovation in crafting unique and memorable cocktails.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests to provide recommendations and insights.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple drink orders, and maintain a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s operation
