Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Economics or its equivalent
from an accredited and recognized University;
Applicants must be holders of a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized University;
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level as a Lecturer or six (6) years research/ industry experience;
A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
Must have successfully supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
Must be a member of a relevant professional body; and
Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching;
Evidence of the ability to attract research funding is an added advantage;
Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
