Therapist (Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Music, Play, and Art) Jobs in Kenya
Requirements and Skills:
A recognized therapy qualification
Valid license to practice therapy in Kenya
Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and willingness to continually learn and grow in the profession
Uphold ethical standards related to the profession
Act with professionalism and maintain respectful boundaries
Effectively communicate within a team
Be open to receiving and implementing feedback
Experience working with children and special needs communities
Have a flexible work schedule
Be able to travel for work assignments across Nairobi and its environs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Choose and adapt appropriate therapy treatment models, methods and approaches to direct the process of interventions for clients.
Create therapy plans suited to client needs.
Facilitate therapy sessions and implement interventions.
Make recommendations based on assessments of client needs.
Conduct monthly reports on client progress in their long-term and short-term treatment goals.
Document and organise client information and therapy sessions.
Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
Attend supervision sessions with colleagues.
Follow-up with clients regularly.
